Ok...so update!!

It's BORT IV. We are leaving Sunday 03/12 and returning Friday 3/17. Stillwater is the destination with chapter visits in between including a colony visit in El Paso (UTEP). An email has been sent to chapters along the supposed route asking for housing or time to visit with them. More info to come!

 Running for a District Office
« Result #2 on Feb 21, 2006, 2:47am »

Brothers,

If any of you are even remotely considering the concept of running for a District Office this year, then I would like to hear from you guys (wdsec_trea@kkpsi.org) A.S.A.P.! You can be like me and wait until the last possible second (i.e. the week before Convention) to realize that you want to run, but I would strongly advise against it. ;)

Anyway, our Arizona schools tend to produce a lot of great leaders on the District level (seeing as how 7 of our 11 Council members reign from Arizona), and I'd like to think that at least ONE (1) Brother from Beta Omicron should always be running for an office each year. Even if you don't get an office, it is still an AMAZING experience, and you will definitely get your name out there with Chapters around the District. It's a win-win situation, no matter what! :D

If you want more information, go to the VPSP/MAL Webpage:
http://thewest.kkytbs.net/~vpsp-mal/

...and check out the links they have under "Run for District Office" for a ton of useful information -- even old Officer Packets that were used in previous elections! It doesn't get much cooler than that, so please check it out and keep the idea in the back of your mind!

Updates on WDC 2006 for anyone who has missed the boat somewhere along the shoreline:

+ Official Website:
http://www.themightypsi.org/convention/

Registration is currently set for $70 and should be available within the next 24-48 hours. Also, please remember that you do NOT have the option of "Banquet Only" unless you are an Alumni or Guest member!

In addition, Reading Band is now REQUIRED for BO Brothers this year -- Tubas and Percussion will be provided, but if you play any other low brass (or similarly large) instruments, please plan on finding a way to bring them with you to Convention if at all possible! If you are looking into the idea of an Auxiliary Clinic, our Member-at-Large (Lance) is looking into the option right now, so more information is TBA on this.

If you have any other Convention-related questions, don't hesitate to send them my way (wdsec_trea@kkpsi.org) OR our friends at Psi and EK (convention06@themightypsi.org) and one of us will answer them as best as we can! Otherwise...

GO TO WESTERN DISTRICT CONVENTION!!!!! :o :o :o

Hey Alex,
Thanks for posting. There's an alumni information sheet on the website alumni page (http://www.asu.edu/clubs/kkpsi/alumni.shtml) and also a link to email Sarah, the chair of the alumni committee, if you send her an email she'll get you on her list. I'm glad you found the forum too! Thanks for posting.

Hi. I'm Alex. I was an active BO member from 1996 to 1998. I was chapter historian my second active year.

I think my info was lost at some point, so I don't receive newsletters, but I would love to get involved in chapter events again. Glad I found this forum.
